Equipped to the highest standards with all modern conveniences, Villa Tamaris is only a short drive from the Airports of Carcassonne, Toulouse, Perpignan and Girona (in northern Spain).

Villa Tamaris has commanding panoramic views over the beautiful Corbieres Hills that stretch from the Mediterranean to the Spanish border, and are steeped in local history. The area enjoys over 300 days of sunshine annually with long hot summers and mild winters.

Magnificent Mediterranean beaches are but a short drive away and for those who wish to immerse themselves in local history and culture, Castles, Ancient Monasteries, Medieval Cities and stunning scenery await your arrival.

This two bedroomed Villa comprises:

The Kitchen is fully equipped with, Electric Hob and Oven, Fridge Freezer, Dishwasher, Microwave and many other modern conveniences.

The Utility room is equipped with a washing machine, iron & ironing board.

The Living room is comfortably appointed and is complete with Satellite T.V. (UK channels), DVD and mini Hi-Fi. Double French Sliding Doors open out onto a teak deck surrounding the private swimming pool and outdoor shower. A Bar-B-Q and eating area are adjacent to the private pool.

Upstairs in this lovely 2 bedroomed Villa is the Master Bedroom. This beautifully appointed double bedroom, has substantial wardrobe space and fantastic views across the hills. A seperate bathroom with shower services this bedroom.

Villa Tamaris is a few minutes walk from the lovely village of Durban with a Supermarket, Boulangerie, Bank, Pharmacy, Restaurent, Bar and Cave co-operative. The local wines are a must to try and are of exceptional quality and value.

Visitor Attractions

On this self catering holiday in Villa Tamaris, visitors can immerse themselves in the ancient history of the area. Medieval castles like Chateau Queribus and Chateau Peyreprteuse sit high on mountaineous outcrops commanding the area around them. The beautiful walled city of Carcassonne is a must to visit as are the monasteries at Lagrasse and Fontfroide. All this area is Cathar country and historians will find a wealth of history to savour and enjoy.

Nearby Narbonne and Beziers have a stunning array of shops and services with a magnificent fresh food market and Cathederal in Narbonne.

Just 15 - 20 minutes away is the lovely town of Sigean with it's highly rated African Reserve a must visit for all those nature lovers.

The nearest Beach Resorts of Le Franqui and Leucate are a mere 20-30 minutes by car with beaches that stretch for miles and safe swimming in the clear Meditteranean waters. Wind surfing and other maritime pursuits are also available. You will also find lovely restaurants along the promenades with fantastic Sea Food dishes.

Horse Riding, Golf, Tennis and Sailing are all within easy reach of Villa Tamaris and the local hills are criss-crossed with delightful paths for those that like to go hill walking.

Visible from the beaches of Leucate are the magnificent Pyrenees mountains.  Villa Tamaris is an ideal base for Skiing and Winter Sports enthusiasts, who wish to travel to the numerous Pyrenees Skiing resorts and the famous Principality of Andorra.

Eating out around Villa Tamaris is a gastronomique delight, with restaurants varying from One Star Michelin in Fontjoncouse to local restaurants providing exceptional cuisine at reasonable prices.

Villa Tamaris is located on the edge of the small village of Durban nestled in the middle of the Corbiere Hills. Carcassonne Airport and Perpignan Airport are only 40 minutes drive away with Toulouse Airport and Girona Airport (near Barcelona) only 90 minutes drive.

Villa Tamaris is let on a weekly basis with check-in on Saturday at 4pm and check out at 10am on the Saturday of departure.

Villa Tamaris is a Non Smoking Villa and Pets are not allowed.

Rental includes linen, towels, beach towels, electricity, heating & water.

A booking deposit is required at time of booking and final balance is payable not later than 8 weeks prior to travel.
